Since 2015, I have been walking the South West Coast Path, perhaps snatching a couple of days here a couple of days there. Each area offers a completely different feel. It is difficult as I am passing through, but I make sketches, notes to self and collect fallen leaves etc to inform me of place.
These walks and memories have translated themselves into some of these paintings.
The cold wax medium has always been a medium of interest and in 2019-2020 I embarked on a quest to learn more about it. These paintings are part of that on-going learning that I return to when I am deeply involved in creating surface and texture.
